What happens next
- When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the content and let the person who posted it know.
- If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same agent. It must include your signature, a description of the removed content and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your name, address and phone number, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address.
- We pass a valid counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they've filed a court action, we may restore the content after 10 to 14 business days.
Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances we suspend or close the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright.
